Hi Guys!

I picked up a Shure 565 which is a dual impedance mic. I removed the plug element to change the impedance but in doing so ruined the thread on the set screw!

The replacement part is hard to source in England and Shure UK are not very helpful. I'm thinking of putting a standard XLR plug element in there and hard wiring it either low or high impedance.

My question is, has anyone used this mic for harp? Would it be better low impedance/ clean through a PA or high impedance/ through a guitar amp?

Thanks for your thoughts.
