I have a CR 99E86 which is medium impedance element and measures about 300. The problem is, when i hook up a transformer, and i have tried several, the element becomes too hot and feedback very easy. The transformers only seem to work great on low-impedance elements.
Any suggestions? Crying or Very sad

That is the problem with those elements. Very hard to find an appropriate transformer. Note that the Shure A95 IMT's have dual low impedance inputs - one for like 15 ohms and one for 150 - or thereabout. I forget the specs but you can look them up. I use the higher of the two in any case, but they are at least a  LITTLE better for med impedance elements. In general, I simply avoid medium impedance elements. We all learn by buying them and realizing our mistake!
