carbon micsHey out there,
This is my first time on the forum and I have a question for a mic savvy member. I came a cross (2) old carbon mics. from around the 30's They are called "Handi-mike" made by "The Universal Microphone Company" made in Inglewood California. Are these or any carbon mics any good for harp?
P.S.
I am looking for a Black label CR. I am willing to purchase or trade. I am just starting to build mics. It all started when I destroyed my CM in my old 520D by too much soldering directly onto the cartridge. I need to build one really good mic for myself first before offering anything to anyone else, I know they are worth quite a bit. I cannot pay ebay prices. Any help would be great.
