I saw this one on I-Mic's page.......someone posted it. It's a pretty cool little mic......anyone know much about it......... It would be a nice little practice mic and compact to carry around......any idea where I can find one?

Hey, i built one of these... it's really easy. You need a small mic element like an electret or (my own personal secret) an old cell phone ear bud. You then "gut" the maglite, but save the "reflector" (the convave piece of silvered plastic that is behind the bulb). You solder leads onto the mic element, and then thread the leads through the hole in the bottome of the reflector, and sandwich the element between the reflector and the screw cap. I used a bit of pipe screen to replace the lense, and this works great, and is the exact perfect size and shape. The base of the maglite is where the battery screw cap normally connects. The mic leads should be hanging out about an inch. I found that the threads of a standard 1/4" female cable jack (NOT a panel mounting jack, but a female jack that is meant to go on the end of an audio cable) screwed right into the threads on the inside of the end of the maglite.
