Mic for Jimi Lee

I made another mic for Jimi Lee (http://www.jimileeband.com) - same wood as the one I did for Jeff. This one was setup as a low-Z mic with an XLR connector because Jimi wanted to plug in his Samson wireless and go.  The curly maple Jeff got for me has a wonderful quality that as you tilt it in your hand, the "curls" appear/disappear like a hologram, revealing or hiding the normal grain underneath. Very cool!

That's truly a beautiful work of art Greg.  I saw and met Charlie Musselwhite at a festival a couple of weeks back...very nice gentleman, awesome performer.  He was handing out your business cards to those who were inquiring about what he was using.  Of course, the well informed already knew that it was another "Blows Me Away Production", and another beautiful work of art.

That is a complete thing of beauty!  Shocked

Thanks, Guys

I am so fortunate to have a business that I can do myself and that I enjoy so much. I just know if I make it "good enough for me"  then there are others out there who will recognize that it is good enough for them too.

There needs to be more people in this world thinking like you do in my opinion. Great words to live by.

Finally got Jimi Lee's quote for the site:

"Like many other people, whether for harmonica or guitar, I have tried for a long time to get a good tone wireless. It took Greg Heumann’s knowledge and experience with elements, impedance matching, volume pots and more to accomplish the task. My new custom wood body harmonica mic is not only wireless, it has the best tone, is comfortably light weight and looks like a piece of art work. It is now part of my regular gigging set up. I’ve been spoiled and really don’t want a heavy bodied mic anymore, except maybe as a back up, but today I asked Greg to make me another one that isn’t wireless for a back up.
I love the direction harp mics are going thanks to inventive folks like Greg at BlowsMeAway Productions.

Sincerely,
Jimi Lee"
