Updated my site (4/16/07)

Hi, Gents

I have updated the mics page of my web site to show some new mics, remove some that were sold, and reflect Andy Just's endorsement of my mics. Check it out if you're truly bored.... Comments welcome.

Very cool, Greg! Hey, I have a client who needs to mount a CM in a Spherex (actually, six of them). How did you accomplish this? I have done one before with a cut-down Bullet gasket, but it wasn't a perfect solution. Are you machining something to seat the element or gasket? Inquiring minds wanna know. Got any pics???

The site is looking very nice. I want one of those wooden mics! Will they survive a few drops to the floor? I'm pretty clumsy...

Tim -

I'm sure we share the same client - Hawaii, right? He told me he would contact you for gaskets - I'm doing the machining work on the shells for him. These are going to be the coolest, smallest mics!

The answer is however that I don't modify the inside of the shell. There is room for a CM and a gasket - I've used cut down ones I got from you. I'm on my way out in S.F. for a gig tonight - will be back at my shop tomorrow. Contact me offline and I'll get you photos and measurements.

Oh - and the wood mics easily survive stage drops. Remember they're light weight. "Perhaps I need to add ".... and wood is naturally shock resistant!" I wouldn't want to drop one from chest high onto concrete, though. And they're lousy weapons, compared to, say, my Turner BX.
